The Davissons - Family of the Month

The Davisson Family

The Knights of Columbus are recognizing the family of Paul and Jan Davisson for Family of the Month. And what a family it is with 8 children and 15 grandchildren.

Paul is one of our most committed Knights, along with his many acts of charity such as serving Food for Families and a regular at the Sunday morning pulpit leading our parish in the rosary, he manages over all our financial functions. This is considered a very important to assure all your giving is managed properly.

Paul comes from simple roots, a small town of 5000 in Indiana named Rensselaer. A scholarship allowed him to pursue a degree in engineering from Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute In, which took him to a lifelong career Pratt Whitney, where he managed teams building war planes, specifically the F-21 and F-35 in Jupiter Fl.

Along the journey, Paul met Jan. She was deep in the public relations industry and he maybe caught her attention with his music ability such as French horn and guitar. Jan had a Jupiter talk radio show named Turtle Talk, and had many opportunities to work with famous people like Burt Reynolds and Phyllis Diller.

Together they have been a great team for St Peter and the Knights. Paul has served as Lector, Deputy Grand Knight and Grand Knight. Paul was here to see that our hall was built and engineered the gas grill just outside the hall. Jan had her own 501(c)(3) charity called Angels in the World that promoted giving through Christmas Decorations. Jan is still an active Lector, played a key role in our recent Coats for Kids, Director of Parish Musical Godspell and kids musical Charley Brown, and is always playing a key role in our fund raisers for St Peter and All Saints. They are consistent attendees at our weekday morning masses.

This is truly a family that we are very fortunate to have with St Peter and the St Peter Knights of Columbus. Congratulations Paul and Jan.
