Note: Minutes of our Planning Meetings are posted on the Council website for all members of the council for review and comment. The minutes will not be read at the next business meeting unless requested by a member. Please direct all corrections and additions to Jim Hildebrand jrpah@comcast.net

This was a Zoom meeting.

  • Pre - Meeting.

  • Officers Roll Call

    • All Officers were present except for the Chaplain, Deputy Grand Knight, and 2nd Year Trustee.

  • Chaplain Report -

    • The meeting was opened and closed with a prayer.

  • Guests and Dignitaries

    • Report:

      • We have been asked to carry the Our Lady of Guadalupe statue at the Hispanic Heritage Month festival. This is an honor. We will try to have the Fourth Degree Honor attend. Brother Colon will also set up our Spanish

      • Brother McGivney has resigned as Deputy Grand Knight due to other commitments at this time. The position is now open.

      • We will have our October 18th Business Meeting in the Parish Hall. The GK will be back in the area at that time. The GK would like to have something to welcome new members. Perhaps a little cookout.

      • Dan Perez has volunteered to Chair our Community Activities.

  • Financial Secretary Report:

    • Deputy Grand Knight and Director Reports:

      • Faith: (Philip Colon)

        • Rosary Initiative -. We haven’t missed any dates since starting the Rosary back up. We could use more volunteers.

        • RSVP Program -We will support both Deacon Serge and Seminarian Jude Okeke this year. A letter is being drafted for Deacon Serge.

        • Faith Kiosk - We will put the Spanish KIOSK out during the Hispanic Heritage Festival

        • Mass for Decease Knights -We are considering a memorial Mass for deceased Knights. The Chaplin suggests we have a weekday Mass said for theKnights, and a Breakfast gathering afterwards.

        • Parish Retreat -The parish men’s retreat is schedule for he first week in March

      • Family (Joe McGivney)

        • “Family of the Month” -The Holmstrom Family

        • “Knight of the Month” - Brother McElhaney

        • Food for Families - Community (Dan Perez).

        • Coats for Kids - The GK would like to have an early Novemberfc drive during our Buffett Breakfast. The GK will check with Father Don and The school principal.

        • Fellowship Breakfast— First Buffett Breakfast of the season will be after morning Masses Sunday October 2nd

        • JTAA Christmas Parade -

        • Throw Competition-

        • Parish Picnic -The picnic is scheduled for Oct. 22nd from noon until 3 PM.

    • Life (Kieth McKeown).

      • Special Olympics -

  • Good of the Order:

    • Brother Mark Wall is undergoing Chemotherapy. His 80th Birthday is 10/1. Knights are encouraged to send a get well wish.

  • Recruiting/Retention

    • 56 letters send out reminding delinquent members that their dues are late.

    • St Peter website does not reference our website. The GK will check to see if we can be referenced on it.

    • Brother Davisson moved and Brother McElhaney Seconded a Motion to support both Seminarians Okeke and Deacon Serge this year for $500 each. Passed
