Note: Minutes of our Planning Meetings are supplied to all Officers for review and comment. They are then posted on the Council Website. The minutes will not be read at the next Planning meeting unless requested by an Officer. Please direct all corrections and additions to Jim Hildebrand jrpah@comcast.net

Officers Roll Call

  • All Officers were present except for Chaplain, Advocate, and Financial Secretary

  • Chaplain Report -

    • The meeting was opened and closed with a prayer.

    • DD Richard Gallant attended

  • Grand Knight Report:

    • Correspondence:

      • No significant correspondence.

    • Report:

      • The GK thanked the members for a very successful weekend. We conducted our Fellowship Breakfast and concession stand at the Jupiter Jubilee, and Brother Perez did a great job of presenting the Family of the Month award to the Hispanic Ministry.

      • New leadership roles - Brother Mark Ehmer accepted the position of Chancellor, Brother Keith McKeown is our new Life Director.

      • The GK congratulated the Brothers who recently joined the 4th degree.

      • Columbian Magazine article about Joe McGivney will appear next week.

  • Financial Secretary Report:

    • revenues - $3162

    • expenses - ~$457

    • In Treasury -$12,325

  • DGK Report (Joe McGivney)

The DGK reported on the West Palm Beach Diocese Meeting. Relationship with Parish Pastor, and support from wives in recruiting were emphasized.

  • KofC Pillars .

    • Faith: (Philip Colon): (4 points earned to date)

The faith kiosk was on display during the last Breakfast.

The Parish men’s retreat has been pushed out form 2/18 until 3/4.

We need to concentrate on the RSVP program.

  • Rosary Initiative -. we still have vacancies on the calendar.

  • Life: (Keith McKeown): (4 points earned to date)

Volunteers are need for a Special Olympics event at Dwyer High School on March 5. ~15 people are need to set-up and serve lunch to the athletes. There are several local events coming up including one of April 9. Kieth will get more details on Special Olympics events.

  • Tootsie Roll Drive - Will revisit in the late spring

  • Family: (Joe McGivney) (3 points earned to date)

    • “Food for Families” - donating $500 to FFF earns one point for STAR council. Form to use is 10057

    • “Family of the Month” - will check with Parish office to see if we can determine and use longest duration parishioners. .

    • “Knight of the Month” - Danny Perez for February

  • Community* (Paul Davisson, reported by the GK)- (2 points earned to date)

    • No Brother Left Behind” - We are starting a program this month. Initial step will be to perform a phone survey to help determine the emotional, physical, and spiritual position of our members. We need to establish a data base to organize obtained information.

    • Fellowship Breakfast -

    • Free Throw Competition- AllSaints School will pass on the Free Throw competition this year because of COVID.

  • Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration -
