April Business Meeting Minutes 4/18/2023
Attendees were Ken Kotansky, Paul Davisson, Patrick McElhaney, Father Wes, Richard Gallant. No Directors were present. Newest member who transferred, Phil DeCarlo, attended.
Paul opened with a prayer and we did Pledge of Allegiance together.
Ken read the April planning meeting minutes
Ken noted that status on Jim’s Hilldebrand’s wife Pat.
Richard Gallant brought in fresh batch of Tootsie Rolls and noted his 3 councils on way to Star..
Ken’s report reviewed success of the essay contest that brought in over 90 entries, and we are finalizing all collections of monies for the Knights Florida raffle. He also recognized Paul Davison for family month, and Larry Mondorff for Knight of Month.
Ken summarized what is left to do to finish as a Star Council. 4 new members, $2000 for Special Olympics, Founder’s requirement with 7 attendees at next webinar, Soccer challenge, $500 for ASAP.
Ken discussed idea to do a Tootsie Roll weekend for Special Olympics, Els and ARC. This will help us meet our $2000 goal for Special Olympics along with our traditional charities. We are scheduling this for June 3 at Publix and June 4 at church.
Agent was absent
Richard Gallant noted we received credit for last webinar. Jonathan is invited to our year end celebration which will be another pot luck event.
Paul reviewed our financials.
New Business
Ken would like another year end celebration, with our agent doing a presentation and Deacon Serge as guest speaker. Pot luck style on May 16.
Ken mentioned that we need to get nominations in for elections.
Father Wes closed meeting with a prayer and discussed his plans for leaving the parish by July 1..
