This Brother joined the Knights of Columbus in April 2014 and jumped right in. He has since served as Inside Guard, Membership Director, Deputy Grand Knight, and finally Grand Knight at St. Paul of the Cross Council 12322. He is a Sir Knight of the Father Andrew Doherty Assembly 0155 in Palm Beach Gardens and served briefly with its Color Corps.
Jonathan has been a Field Agent with the Knights of Columbus since May of 2018. He has an extensive business background that makes him uniquely qualified to be our Field Agent. His business experience spans a thirty-three year career in finance and sales roles with major multi-national companies, including Marriott, American Express & Western Union, including twenty years in Moscow. His professional achievements include Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Management Accountant, and Certified in Financial Management. He recently received his certification as Fraternal Insurance Counselor from the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors.
He is happily married to his wife, Hiroko, for four years. He has two children and two grandchildren. He recently moved to Stuart to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle. Away from work, he enjoys running on the beach, ballroom dancing, and singing Karaoke with his family and friends.
He has been active in promoting the Knights of Columbus Funeral Planning Panel Discussions that began as a result of the efforts of St. Peter Council 13139 and has been a participant in every one of these events. He attends all our Council meetings and has been very active helping the Council with its Delta Recruiting Drive, On-line Exemplifications, Open Houses, and Benefits Nights, and making our newest members feel welcome. There is no doubt that the Council’s recruiting success this year has been, in a substantial way, influenced by his efforts.
For his services to his community, his brother Knights, and the Knights of Columbus, the Council selects Jonathan Knaus as its Knight of the Month for June 2020. Congratulations, Jonathan!
His award will be presented at an upcoming Council Regular Business Meeting once the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
