Business (General) Meeting
February 19, 2019

Officers Roll Call
All Officers were present except for the Deputy Grand Knight, Treasurer, Advocate, Warden, and 2nd Year Trustee were absent, and the Chancellor and 3rd Year Trustee who were excused.
Chaplain Report - The meeting was opened and adjourned with a prayer

The District Deputy and Field Agent were present.
Grand Knight Report:
We received a letter from Deacon Mario Benton thanking us for our monetary contribution in support of his pursuit of the Priesthood.
The GK recommended will supply gas cards to Free Throw winner parents and coach Kelly to help cover travel expenses to the next level of completion. We have supplied the cards in the past. (see motions).
Our Family BBQ was very successful. We netted between $2600 and $2700 and had 150 to 160 people attend.
We are continuing our search for a GK for the next Fraternal year. PGK Lou Manz offered to either be the GK for 6 months, or the PGK to help any GK candidate get comfortable with the position if that is a concern.
Brothers Karl Sodan and Michael McReynolds have volunteered to be our delegates at the State Convention. (see motions)
The GK would like the council to “buy” two tables at the 4th Degree’s “Irish Night” dinner dance. The tickets would be given to Brother Knights in recognition of service to the council. (see motions)

Brother Manz would like to see the Council be more involved in “The Stations of the Cross”.
Brother Manz reported on his experience at St. Peter’s Men’s Retreat, and recommended the retreat to Brother Knights.

There is a “Respect Life” prayer service for the unborn at Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center on April 7th from 2 to 4 PM

Tootsie Roll Drive - We have received six boxes. Brother Manz is willing chair the drive if we complete it in on two weekends instead of three, and if we use the Calling Committee is get Knights out for the event.
Hannah’s House - There will be a work session on February 26th at 10 AM to do some painting at the their facility in Tequesta.

Pig Roast -
Roger Dean Stadium - The first game that the Council will work is this Sunday the 24th. The game is at 1 PM so volunteers need to be there by 10 AM. The council will be working the larger stand so 10 to 12 volunteers are needed.
4th Degree Report -
Next meeting is next Tuesday at 7PM. Rosary at 6:30.
There will be a 4th Degree Exemplification in Bradenton on March 23rd.
District Deputy Report -
Florida will host the KofC special Olympics in Orlando 2022.
We as a Council need to think of things we can do to help the community during a disaster.

Motions -
Motion - Brother Brother Manz moved and Brother Wall seconded a motion to supply $30 gas cards (or equivalent value travel aid) to the parents of Free Throw winners going to the next level of completion and to coach Kelly. Passed.
Motion - Brother Davisson moved and Brother Hildebrand seconded a motion to send Brothers Karl Sodan and Michael McReynolds to the State Convention. Passed.
Motion - Brother Hildebrand moved and Brother Karl Sodan seconded a motion to contribute $125 towards a District ad in this years Convention Program. Passed. (other Councils in the District have contributed a like amount.)
Motion - Brother Davisson moved and Brother Manz seconded a motion that we contribute $300 to the March 7th fundraiser to help pay for additional hyperbolic treatments for Hunter Puglise. Passed.
Motion - Brother Manz moved and Brother Karl Sodan seconded a motion to buy two tables ($600) for Irish Knight. Passed
