Joseph Watters - Knight of the Year

The St Peter Knights are recognizing Joseph Watters along Mark Ehmeras Knight of the Year ending June 30, 2026.

Joseph joined the Knights in 2023 and has been a contributing member since the day he joined. Joseph is a constant presence throughout the church and community. Along with holding the Faith Director position this past year, he is an active participant in the Thursday morning Men’s Group, a weekly reader for the masses, altar server, and eucharistic minister. He is also an active leader with the men as we pray the rosary together in our meetings both in the hall and in the garden.

Throughout the year, Joseph has been a huge contributor for the food used at the Ministry appreciation night parish picnic, and recent St Peter Knights golf outing. Our church staff and priests know him well as he shares his cooking talents with them each month with a meal too.

Joseph was born in White Rock, British Columbia, raised in Kingston, Ontario and pursued a culinary career where he was trained as a French chef working at some of the most prestigious Michelin Star restaurants as well as Gault Millau, San Pellegrino’s world 50 best restaurants, and Relais and Chateaux. His talents are enjoyed by the Jonathan’s Landing Golf Club where he is their Executive chef.

Along with his commitment to the St Peter Knights of Columbus, this has been a very eventful year for Joseph with his marriage to Sophie on March 21 at St Peter, and the birth of their new daughter Mary Regina, joining his other daughter Juliette and Sienna.
