Report:
We had a very successful Tootsie Roll Drive at the Publix in the Farms. We collected ~$1755, a new one day record. The GK thanked all that participated especially Brothers Patrick Mcelhaney and Trevor McDonald who co-chaired the event. We are considering the church for the next drive. The GK would like to also check with the other Publix stores in the area to see if we can have a drive. Brother Davisson suggested this collection be submitted for this fraternal years collection, and that future collections be part of our 2021 -22 fraternal year collection.
The GK would like to have an ongoing social event for the newer Knights. Possibly something on Friday nights.
The GK reported on the State Convention. He found it interesting and noted that a lot is being done to support young Priests. Also, some councils have Columbiette auxiliaries. Governor DeSantis was the guest speaker. He is a life long Catholic.
