    • Report:

      • The GK reported a “storage shed” was rebuild for Hanna’s House over a three-day period. The effort was greatly appreciated by Hannah’s staff.

      • The GK was a little disappointed at the turnout for the Council’s first morning coffee social. Ways of increasing awareness were discussed, possibly piggy-backing on the Parish flock notes system. Jo Muñoz is responsible for the system.

      • The GK proposed we consider a year-end event for the Council. Possibly a BBQ connected to a Miniature Golf outing or a beach clean-up and a visit to the turtle hospital. He asked the Officers to think about possible events.

      • The GK’s son Jeff is considering a 40 day 500 mile walk carrying a Golf bag to raise money for the KofC wheelchair ministry. Jeff is a caddie and will be in New York this summer. Money could be raised by donor sponsorship by the mile, or a flat donation.

      • Elections- we will open nominations in May. A Nominating Committee will be formed to recommend a slate of officers. Elections will be held in June.

      • The GK will not be available next Tuesday for the regularly schedule Business Meeting. The meeting will be moved to a different night.

      • We need to push our State Raffle Tickets since it is one of our few fund raisers for the year. The GK would like council members to purchase at least one book. Brother Hildebrand will put something on the Website.
