Jeff’s 500 Miles for Kids Wheelchairs
Donations are approaching $25,000.
An article covering the drive has been published in the Florida Catholic.
The GK will talk to Fr. D about having Jeff recognized for his efforts at a Spanish Mass (they were large contributors to the drive, plus the wheelchairs are going to Mexico), and at 9:30 AM ( to help show we have young Knights that are accomplishing things).
The recorder will give a short “Minutes Summary” at the beginning of each Business Meeting.
The GK recommended the book “The Faith and the Power’” by James Snyder. It is a well researched story of the first yers of the church after the crucifixion of Christ. The GK suggested the author would be a good speaker for an upcoming event such as a retreat.
Brother Davisson has volunteered to lead the Community Pillar.
The question of why we conduct the Fellowship Breakfast was aired. The conclusion was that it offers a chance for fellowship to the Brothers of the council as well as an opportunity for fellowship among parishioners.
The GK has invited a Columbiette to speak at next weeks Business Meeting.
