Brother Dan Perez - January 2022 Knight of the Month

Dan Perez – Knight of the Month, January 2022 Please join us in congratulating Dan Perez for being named Knight of the Month! Dan was born in New York where he and his 3 siblings were raised by their Cuban immigrant parents. Dan and his wife Sandra now reside in Jupiter and are the proud parents of six adult children. In addition to his involvement with the Knights of Columbus, Dan is also very active in the Hispanic Ministry at St. Peter. Dan’s spiritual journey is both compelling and inspiring. In his early years, his Christian faith was strong. So strong, that he spent 15 years as a pastor in the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church. During that time, Dan also took it upon himself to study the world’s Christian religions. He felt himself being drawn to Catholicism. While touring South America, Dan visited several Catholic churches. Professionally, Dan is an engineer. Approximately seven years ago, he was working on a project near St. Peter. He drove by Saint Peters every day and he felt a calling to him. He stopped what he was doing and walked into St. Peter. He prayed. He decided that in addition to being a Christian, he needed to be Catholic. He participated in the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program at St. Peter, receiving the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. Dan recently presented the Family of the Month award to the Hispanic Ministry. He also played a pivotal role in helping to translate our website content into Spanish.
