My Brother Knights:
I have been retired for two years and the time has come for me to move on with the next chapter of my life. My family and I will be relocating to Orange Park FL, a sleepy little town just southeast of Jacksonville, where we spent a rewarding fifteen years during our children’s formative years. We have enjoyed our time in Jupiter, especially the people of the parish that we have meet. But, we are looking forward to returning to North Florida to be nearer our family and friends, not to mention the cooler weather.
Things are moving quickly. We put our home up for sale on August 8 and had a signed offer on August 15. Unless unforeseen circumstances arise, we will be closing on the sale of our house on September 17 and departing for Orange Park the day before.
It is with great melancholy, that I resign my position as One Year Trustee and trust that you will find a suitable replacement.
I will miss my brother knights, but will have fond memories of those living and those deceased brothers who brought me to this fraternal brotherhood. I am both thankful and honored to have been associated with those brothers who are active in our Council.
It is my parting prayer that those members who are Knights “in name only” will begin to take a more active, and ultimately more rewarding, role in the operation of the Assembly.
And so, I invite all of you to keep in touch and come to visit Terry, Betty, and me in North Florida. Who knows, you may want to stay. If you need anything, I am only a phone call away.
Regards & God Bless,
Lou Manz
