Bartalini Family Named Family of the Month for July 2020

This family is dedicated to their faith and take the parish motto of “Love God, Love Others, Make Disciples” seriously. John has a B.S. and an M.B.A. from St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York and an M.A. in Theological Studies from St. Vincent de Paul Seminary in Boynton Beach, FL. Deanna has a B.S. from the City University of New York-Queens College and a Masters in Education from FAU.

Deacon John Bartalini and his wife, Deanna, have two children, Peter and Elisa, and two grandchildren. He was ordained as a permanent deacon in September of 2015 after hearing God’s call. She is the Director of Faith Formation at St. Edward in Palm Beach and is the Content Facilitator of the monthly St. Peter Parish Magazine. She was the Director of Stewardship at St. Peter for nearly five years.

The evangelization that the good Deacon does is very evident to all. However, Deanna goes about her work without most people knowing. She has created an on-line community called An Everyday Catholic, a community that informs, engages, and inspires believers to live out their life as God is calling them. She is and author, blogger, podcaster, and facilitator.

Even though Deacon John is not yet a Knight of Columbus, he and Deanna are supportive of Council events. With the recent pandemic and hospitalization and recovery of Deacon Stephen Scienzo, parish staff and their spouses have been asked to do more. Deacon John and Deanna are assisting at daily Mass.

For their leadership in faith, their support of the Knights of Columbus and their willingness to help during these trying times, we honor Deacon John and Deanna, the Bartalini family, as our Family of the Month for July.

Their award will be presented at a future Family Fellowship Breakfast once the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
