Bill Robinson Named Knight of the Month for January

This Brother recently completed his journey to Knighthood in the Council’s first Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity. He has been a member of the Council for less than a year, but has faithfully embraced our principles.

His faith journey began as a CCD student at St. Germaine Catholic Church in Oak Lawn, IL, where he learned the basics of Catholicism, like the Ten Commandments, the Sacraments, and the teachings of the Old Testament and of Jesus.

As a High School student at Brother Rice, his faith was reinforced through action, including his community service where he assisted his father on a medical mission trip to Cochabamba, Bolivia. Seeing the poverty and poor health of the people there, he was reminded of how fortunate he was to have a significantly better quality of life in the United States and the importance of putting the interest of others ahead of his own.

The need to contribute to improving the quality of the lives of others is what motivates his membership in the Knights of Columbus in building God's Kingdom here on Earth.

He assists at Council events, including our Family Fellowship Buffet Breakfast and recent JTAA Christmas Parade. His hobbies yoga, Zumba, and meditation. He enjoys meeting other people, and learning about their stories, experiences, and life.

For his contributions to the Knights of Columbus, the Council recognizes Bill Robinson as it Knight of the Month for January.

Congratulations, Bill!
