Officers Meeting Minutes - Oct. 2019

  • Roll Call - All Officers were present except for the Advocate, Outside Guard, 1st year Trustee, and 3rd Year Trustee who was absent, and the Chaplain, Chancellor, and 2nd Year Trustee who were excused.

  • Chaplain Report: The meeting was opened and closed with a prayer.

  • Grand Knight Report:

  • Correspondance

  • We received “Thank You” letters from “ELS for Autism” and ARC for our Tootsie Roll donations.

  • We received a “Thank You” note from Deacon Serge for the Mass Card we sent for his wife JoAnn.

  • Council Business

  • A new r recruitment incentive raffle with monetary prizes has been announced by State.

  • Director Reports:

  • The GK and DGK met with Father D to discuss Council initiatives. Fr. Don agreed to hold meeting monthly. A few highlights from the meeting are:

  • Father D approved a “Miracle House” Baby Bottle drive for the weekend of 11/9&10.

  • Father D approved a “Delta” membership drive for the last weekend in November. We will be featured in the Parish Magazine and have a “Ministry Moment” video leading up to the event.

  • Father D suggested we hold our “Food for Families” food drive in the Spring.

  • The DGK reviewed the council schedule for the next three months (available on the website

  • Community*-

  • Baby Bottle Drive - Fr D has approved a “Miracle House” Baby Bottle drive for the weekend of 11/9&10. The bottles will be picked up the following two weekends. The Council will assist in distributing and collecting the bottles.

  • Tootsie Roll Drive -

  • JTAA Christmas Parade - Application for the Parade was given to Brother Cesarano, organizer of the parade. Officers indicated that they fell we should continue to distribute candy at the parade.

  • Faith*:

  • Altar Server Scholarship Program - Sacramental Gifts Program - We are looking into a program in which we would try to encourage and connect with Catholics in the RICA, 1st Communion and Confirmation programs.

  • Parish Picnic - Oct 26th. We will help as usual

  • Council

  • Buffet Breakfast - The next Breakfast will be 11/2.

  • Jupiter Recreation Department has indicated that the Council can participate in any of their events if we wish. Events include Jupiter Jubilee and Friday Night Dances.

MOTIONS:

  • Brother Hildebrand moved and Brother Davisson seconded a motion to procure a $200 gift card for use as a Raffle Prize during the Delta Membership Drive. Passed

  • Brother Cesarano moved and Brother Manz seconded a motion to donate $400 dollars to Hannah’s House. Passed
