The meeting was opened and closed with a prayer. The Chaplain encouraged Knights to attend the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola at 11 AM on 4/16. Priests and Deacons of the Diocese renew their vows of obedience at the mass.
Grand Knight Report:
Approved expenses incurred by our delegates to the State Convention are paid by the Council and are included in the budget. However, the state only reimburses the District Deputy for millage to attend. The Officers passed a motion to reimburse Brother Bill Sodan for two nights stay at the convention. (See motions.)
The Chancellor will head a nominating committee for officers for the next Fraternal year.
Several options, including a Dolphins game bus trip, Roger Dean Stadium game, and college football game are being considered instead of a Council Picnic. The GK and Treasurer will check cost and availability of the Roger Dean venue. We will hold off on a down payment for the Dolphins game until we decide which way to go.
Father Don’s ordination party is May 18th. We have been ask to supply and serve wine, beer, soft drinks and water.
The GK and entourage has a meeting with Father Don on April 29. Items to discuss include:
Support of the Hispanic parishioners desire to build a monument to Our Lady of Guadeloupe.
Status of Video to promote Knights to parishioners
“Delta Drive” recruiting
The Parish Hall is closed to meetings during Holy Week, so our April Business Meeting has been rescheduled to April 23rd.
We may change the June Officers meeting to the first Tuesday to accommodate a First Degree. Decision will be made after the Degree is firmed up a little more.

Seminarian Support - Brother Davisson suggested that the $100 rebate we received from Supreme for our support of a seminarian be donated to the seminarian. Meet with general approval. Buffet Breakfast - We will take a summer break and not have a Breakfast in July or August. (Recorders Note - Meeting attendees mistakenly believed that the Council took off June and July last year.
